The Palomino Photobook Ordering Process

The following information should guide you through the basic process of ordering a Palomino Photobook.  If you have any questions or need further information please contact us.

Stage 1

You can either download an order form or complete your order and payment online.  At this stage you must choose your cover option and enter the number of items for inclusion in the space provided.  These details can be found in our 'Products' pages on our website.  Once payment has been accepted a letter of confirmation will be emailed or posted to you.  If you wanted a book which does not fit into any of the listed categories please contact us 

Stage 2

We will agree a contribution deadline at this stage and you should receive the book within four weeks of the agreed date.  You will be given a unique client reference number in order to submit all posted and uploaded items.  You must use this number in all correspondence.  If you are expecting friends and family to contribute to the book they must also use this reference number.  Palomino Photo can script an email on your behalf with the necessary information, which can then be forwarded to potential contributors. 

NB. You will be responsible for submitting items in chronological order if that is your chosen format.  We suggest you sort items into groups of 20 and place in separate envelopes clearly marked.  For example for a 60th Birthday book you could separate into decades first then collate new born photographs and up to the age of 10, then the teenage years, 20’s, 30’s and so forth.  If you would like to use stickers please write on them before placing on the photographs.  This will ensure you do not damage the image.  

Stage 3

Once all contributions have been received the production stage begins.  This involves the design of the internal pages based on your specifications.  If you have chosen the Illustrated cover option we will also start to create the front cover image.  This does not have to be a photograph but can be any artwork, which can easily be scanned up to A4, or a vector graphic if preferred.  Once all items have been transferred to digital versions the originals are sent back to you by registered delivery.

Stage 4 

Once we have designed your book, you will receive an email with a link to view the product.  You will then be able to make changes, if necessary.  We will continually send you further proofs until you are completely happy, (you will be asked to confirm this is the case by email).

Stage 5

The files are then handbound and covered to your specifications and sent by RM registered delivery.  Then yours to enjoy for a lifetime!
